Man-Bat Vol. 3 (2006) is a comic book published by DC Comics. The series follows the story of Kirk Langstrom, a scientist who transforms into the monstrous Man-Bat. In this volume, Langstrom struggles to maintain control over his animalistic urges, while dealing with threats from both his scientific colleagues and his inner demons.

At the start of the series, Langstrom has returned to Gotham City after spending some time trying to cure himself of his condition. However, when he is attacked by a group of criminals, he finds himself giving in to his bestial instincts, wreaking havoc on the city. This causes him to reconsider his decision to try and find a cure, and instead embrace his identity as Man-Bat.

As the series progresses, Langstrom faces off against a number of foes, including the deadly assassin Deathstroke, who is hired to take him down. He also has to contend with the machinations of his former friend and colleague, Dr. Francine Langstrom, who is determined to use his transformation for her own purposes.

Throughout the series, Langstrom grapples with the psychological toll of his condition, questioning whether he can ever truly be cured or if he should embrace his monstrous side. Man-Bat Vol. 3 provides an exploration of the classic comic book trope of the monster within, as well as an action-packed adventure in the streets of Gotham.
